At Funicular Hostel - Tbilisi

I recently stayed at this hostel for a few nights and I had a great experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The rooms and facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the beds were comfortable. The location, although a bit of a walk from the center, was actually quite nice as it offered free parking and a quieter atmosphere. There were also some lovely shops and bakeries nearby, as well as the funicular to Mtatsminda Park. The bathrooms were plentiful and I never had to wait, plus the showers had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. I highly recommend this hostel.

We had a blast exploring the city and checking out the cool places nearby. Freedom Square was just a short walk away, and we even got to experience a fantastic performance at the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre. Eva and Misha were awesome hosts, always making sure we were having a great time. The atmosphere in the hostel was young and vibrant, perfect for young party-goers like us!

The only thing we wished for was a more vibrant nightlife scene near the hostel. While the location was great for exploring during the day, we would have loved to have some more options for late-night fun and parties.

The traditional house has been beautifully restored with a retro interior design, giving it a unique and inviting atmosphere. We loved the bright and peaceful living room, as well as the cozy and comfortable rooms with excellent bedding. The owners were kind and helpful, making us feel welcomed. The neighborhood was also charming, offering a mix of old Tbilisi and a calm environment. we had a lovely experience and would recommend this hostel for its value and cleanliness.

There were some negative aspects to our stay. First, there were bugs in the room that kept me up for three nights straight, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep.

The colorful and charming atmosphere of the hostel made me feel like I was staying in a traditional Georgian home. The ancient houses with their beautifully decorated balconies added a touch of authenticity to the place. Additionally, the hostel's convenient location near the funicular made it easily accessible for senior people like myself.

The only thing I would have liked to see improved for a better vacation experience for senior people is more attentive and considerate staff. The children working there seemed a bit preoccupied and could have been more helpful and polite towards guests.
